Use cases

Overview of how EOxHub workspaces are being used to help understand how it can fit in your activities.

Algorithm Development

Develop a new algorithm to process geospatial data in order to produce new or enhanced results. Algorithm development involves identifying the appropriate methods to obtain relevant results from the original data. The goal is to improve how geospatial patterns are discovered and visualized and to obtain new insights.

This phase is particularly relevant for data scientists and researchers aiming to experiment with new techniques, machine learning models, or domain-specific indices. During this phase, the focus is not yet on scale or automation, but on designing something effective and accurate.

Result Generation

Use the previously developed (or an already available) algorithm to process various geospatial input data to generate results showcasing current pattern updates. The goal is to leverage the algorithm’s logic to transform raw data into meaningful insights that support analysis. This can happen on-demand, on a schedule, or as part of a larger workflow. Result generation is particularly suited for monitoring applications, change detection, and batch processing of large-scale datasets. This newly generated data can be either used in dashboards, or it can undergo further processing and analysis.

Algorithm as a Service

The algorithm is implemented as a reusable service that can be accessed by other users or systems. By making the algorithm available through an API, it is possible to apply its logic to new data inputs without requiring users to understand the underlying code. This enables consistent results and integration into automated workflows. The service can be configured for scalability, access control, and monitoring to ensure reliable operation in various use cases. Ultimately, this approach transforms the algorithm into a shared, production-ready capability.

Publish Insights

Present the results of the analysis in a clear and engaging format for stakeholders. Insights can be shared through interactive dashboards, data stories, or online reports that combine text, charts, and maps to effectively communicate key findings. The goal is to translate complex outputs into accessible, actionable information tailored to the audience’s needs. Visualizations and narrative context help ensure that the value of the analysis is understood and can support decision-making. Publishing these insights online enables easy access and sharing.
